Dr. Sun is passionate about providing compassionate therapy to her clients, focusing on maternal and child health, and mental well-being. Though new to therapy, she brings a wealth of experience from her background in school social work, special education, and supporting women experiencing homelessness and domestic violence. She has spent over 15 years in higher education as an adjunct assistant professor, teaching public health with emphases on women's health, maternal and child health, and health services research. Primarily, Dr. Sun specializes in maternal and child mental health, particularly women's perinatal mental health encompassing anxiety and depressive mood disorders. Her additional expertise includes a broad scope of woman’s health issues through various life stages, such as reproductive years, menopause, and post-menopause.

Her therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, support, and empowerment. She adopts a trauma-focused, anti-oppressive, anti-racist approach, using solution-focused strategies to help clients set and achieve their goals. She is committed to nurturing powerful therapeutic relationships by engaging with clients on their own terms and honoring their experiences.

Beyond her professional interests, Dr. Sun enjoys working out, strength training, running, engaging in deep conversations, and spending time with her family and animals. Fun facts about her: she skipped first grade, she is a dual Canadian/American citizen, and she loves the color teal and heavy metal music.
