Conor McCarthy is an empathetic and enthusiastic emerging social worker currently completing his MSW at the University of Denver's Graduate School of Social Work. With three years of hands-on experience at Aging Resources of Douglas County, Conor has honed his skills in supporting clients through various challenges, including depression, anxiety, and social isolation.
Conor's therapeutic approach is rooted in Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solutions-Focused Therapy, and he is exploring additional specializations through his internship. His clients often face overwhelming feelings and a sense of disconnection, which Conor approaches with a compassionate and expressive demeanor, working diligently to make them feel seen, heard, and understood.
Conor is particularly adept at building rapport with clients who have artistic or literary inclinations, leveraging his background in English and his passion for language to enhance their therapeutic experience. He helps clients navigate their emotional journeys, fostering a sense of authenticity and purpose in their lives.
Believing deeply in the revolutionary potential of art, Conor seeks to cultivate joy and confidence in his clients, improving their overall sense of well-being and helping them to find meaning and fulfillment in their lives.
