Supervision That Inspires. Leadership That Transforms.

I believe supervision is more than oversight—it's an opportunity to foster growth, inspire confidence, and create ripple effects of change across teams, organizations, and communities. My mission is to help social workers step into leadership with clarity, purpose, and equity-driven practices that transform both lives and systems.

I help social workers cultivate transformative leadership, aligning their supervision practices with equity, connection, and sustainable change.

As a social worker, I’ve seen firsthand how transformational supervision can be—not just for supervisees but for the profession as a whole. Unfortunately, I’ve also seen how supervision that lacks cultural humility or intentionality can leave social workers feeling unsupported, unseen, and burned out. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to reimagine supervision, centering anti-oppressive practices, sustainability, and meaningful connection to empower leaders who make a difference.

Bethany Raab is proof that stepping outside the traditional boundaries of social work can lead to transformative change. As the founder and CEO of Petal & Peak Mental Health and the Center for Ethical Social Work Practice, she has dedicated her nearly 20-year career to empowering social workers, dismantling oppressive systems, and advancing mental wellness for individuals and communities alike.

Bethany’s own licensure journey wasn’t easy—it took her four years to get licensed. Early in her career, she experienced supervision that was unsupportive, discouraging, and even outright harmful. One supervisor in particular undermined and insulted her at every opportunity, leaving her burned out, exhausted, and defeated. It wasn’t until a couple of excellent supervisors stepped in and helped her find her way that she finally felt empowered to succeed.

Now, Bethany is passionate about ensuring no social worker feels the way she once did. She provides individual supervision and group supervision to help social workers gain the guidance, support, and mentorship they need to grow with confidence and clarity. Additionally, through her relational and actionable Clinical Supervision Training Program, she has guided dozens of social workers in aligning their supervision practices with their values, stepping into leadership roles with confidence, and fulfilling credentialing requirements like the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) certification. Her work equips social workers to overcome obstacles, rebuild confidence, and create sustainable, empowering practices that inspire supervisees and transform systems.

Her commitment to systemic reform and holistic mental health care inspired her to establish Petal & Peak Mental Health, a thriving organization providing trauma-informed counseling for all Coloradans, and the Center for Ethical Social Work Practice, where she offers advanced clinical supervision, training programs, and mentorship to social workers nationwide.

Bethany also has extensive expertise in adolescent therapy, specializing in sexual health, suicide intervention, and navigating the complexities of adolescence. Her compassionate and empowering approach helps teens build healthy relationships, navigate complex emotions, and thrive.

Beyond her work with clients and supervisees, Bethany is a leader in the Colorado social work community. As Board President for the Colorado Society for Clinical Social Work, and through previous leadership roles with CSCSW and NASW-CO, she has helped champion initiatives to reform mental health policy and elevate the voices of marginalized communities.

Her mission is clear: to inspire others to act bravely, challenge unjust systems, and prioritize mental wellness for themselves and their communities. Through her work, Bethany is building more than a business—she’s creating a movement. And she’s just getting started.
